Our cruise ship was far from the city so I recommend that you take a tour to see the city. We toured the Guinness Storehouse & the view of the city from the top floor is worth the visit. The included pint of Guinness is nice. Other options of beverages are available.

Dublin was nice but like many large cities. If you do the Guieness tour it's really a self tour with a lot of videos. It's 7 floors of info. Not from from there is the Brazen Head Pub. The oldest in Ireland from 1189. Friendly staff, good beer and food looked good.

Public transport in Dublin is at best 20 years behind No Day pass, so you have to pay each fare separately, don’t accept electronic payment , and unless you have the right change then they rip you off for the rest, one person in front of me had to pay 4 Euros for a 2.15 euro ticket Makes it twice as expensive as Rome, Lisbon, Prague, or even London Worse still it is totally disjointed A bus to St Patrick’s Cathedral ( major tourist destination) involves a Change that requires a 6 minute walk Not impressed

I would not use this app to book any of your excursions. It will be a trap. How does the saying go, it works well until it doesn’t. Booked excursions through this app and our ship had some issues causing it to be delayed and miss some ports. Tried emailing their support email address and NEVER got a reply. Don’t waste your money. If something goes wrong there is no help or refund. Better to pay a little extra on the crew ship and have peace of mind. Forewarned is forearmed.

Loved Dublin! Ship stayed overnight here. We did an excursion to the countryside the first afternoon then toured the city on our own by the hop on/hop off bus around the city. Visited St Patrick’s Cathedral, Guinness, Trinity University (Book of Kells), and several other areas. One of our favorite ports!
