Great city. Very clean and friendly. Bike friendly so rent a bike and there is so much to see and do. I really enjoyed this city, I would highly recommend it.

We spent 4 days in Copenhagen before the cruise started. We bought the 3 day Copenhagen card and it worked out for us. We did a lot of touring around by ourselves seeing castles , amusement parks, museums, Viking ships, and other attractions.

We took the ship shuttle into town and then walked to Tivoli Gardens. It is a small amusement park from the 1800's that was Walt Disney's inspiration for Walt Disney World. It is quite small and got very busy as time went by. We spent about 2 hours there and then walked back to the city center. There aren't very many souvenir shops, but lots of designer stores. We went to Nyhavn, which is very picturesque, but very busy. It was a really, really lovely day.

Did the hop on hop off bus to capture as much as we could some great statues and monuments. Tivoli gardens was beautiful. The city appeared to be very healthy with its wide streets and limited traffic

Copenhagen is a stunning city, especially in the sun! We docked slightly outside the city and got a shuttle bus into town. From there we bought one of the hop on hop off bus/boat tickets and saw a good bit of the city, including the little mermaid statue (not as impressive as I thought it would be). We were that busy & the bus was held up in traffic that we almost missed our shuttle bus back to the ship, we had to run to catch the last bus back!

Copenhagen itself is beautiful. But we did the complimentary excursion which was "Copenhagen by Foot". Our original shore excursion was cancelled because they didn't get enough people to book it. So we switched to the included tour instead. When we reserved this excursion we didn't notice that it was coded "d" for difficult. And it was very difficult. The walking was very fast paced on rough cobblestones. We had a very difficult time keeping up because the guide was committed to getting us back to the ship at his designated time even though we weren't sailing for several more hours. We made a recommendation on the ship that the time for this tour be extended by at least an hour to allow for stopping for photos. We really don't feel like we got to see and enjoy Copenhagen at all. There was no time to stop for pictures or the tour got too far ahead of you to be able to catch up. In fact one older couple even dropped out and found their own way back to the ship.
