Another easy walk into town. We walked alongside the water to the Little Mermaid statue which takes about 15 mins and then probably another 20 mins or so into town. Very easy route. We did a walking tour with Copenhagen Free Walking Tours which took about 3 hours and was excellent.

We spent a few days here before boarding the ship. Charming city. Nyhavn is iconic but touristy. Tivoli is OK, but it is essentially an amusement park with some gardens. Little Mermaid is a joke and a waste of effort to see (you will see it from the canal cruise, so don't make the effort to go separately). We went to Roskilde (20 minute train ride) to see the excellent Viking ship museum and the cathedral where the royalty of Denmark are buried.

We arrived at the new terminal (not langekaj). It's a basic building with a small waiting are, luggage drop off area and taxi stop. 4 minutes of walk away you find the local bus stop, bike rental point and a small tourism center. NEVER BOOK A SHUTTLE FROM YOUR CRUISE LINE!!! We decided to make a trip with the rental bikes because Copenhagen is considered as the best city for cycling. We were shocked. If there a bike Lanes they are mostly in a extremely bad condition. Turning left is almost impossible. It is possible to cycle in Copenhagen, but don't expect a good infrastructure. But all in all the city is always worth a visit.

We have just returned from 3 day mini break and did a segway tour of the city. I truly believe there is no better way to do a tour. It was great fun and we covered sooo much ground. It was the highlight of our 3 day trip (with 14&16 yo boys). Other highlight was a session at CopenHot. What a fab, unique set up!

Stayed two days prior to cruise in Copenhagen, visited Nyhavn shopping and restaurant area. Took a ride on one of the bicycle-powered tuk-tuk carts, was quite an experience in Copenhagen. There are a LOT of bikes in Copenhagen! Also took a boat tour in the canals of Copenhagen.
