Cobh is small but very cute. We took a train to Cork and then a city bus to Blarney Castle. Unfortunately we found out the hard way that the trains run only once an hour on Sundays, so we barely got back to the ship on time. Cork wasn't very interesting, but Blarney Castle was fun to visit.

Rccl only had us there half a day almost imposyto fo anything it took 30 minutes or more to get to Cork. Trains were not running so buses only and had to come back after 1 1/2 hr in order to catch the bus back to ship on time.

This little village, well it used to be a little village 15 years ago but it has grown at least three times the size of the last time I was here. It still is very historic and you have to be in pretty good physical shape to walk around because it is built into a side of a hill. You can take a round trip via train to Cork for 7 euro.

We had a short stop here - 10:30 am to 3:30 pm and it was on a bank holiday so many shops and restaurants were either not open or opened late. We took the train from Cobh to Cork and regretted not just staying in Cobh. It is a charming little town and when we hurried back from Cork we saw how lively it was once places were open.
