Great town with its churches, squares and canals. We added the two night extension to spend time there.

If you do nothing else here, go to the Thus is Holland venue. You walk through central station and on the other side there are ferries that taje you across for free and they go every 3 minutes. It's 16€ each, lasts about an hour and most of it you are in a flight simulator that takes you across Holland through all the seasons , with smells from the tulip fields and rain drops when the weather is bad . Don't do it if your scared of flying ,because it feels as if you are flying the plane. If you want to do the Anne Frank house you MUST buy tickets online before you go. None available any day.

We did an excursion with airport drop off. We went to Zaans Schans, which is a park with old, working windmills and little houses from the 18th century. They all have shops or make chocolate or other items. There is a clog factory/shop, too. We loved it and wish we could have spent a full day there. It is a pretty setting with goats, sheep, and chickens, too. Loved it - great way to end our vacation.

Amsterdam really has a great port. It's really big and modern with some shops inside. Will explain you how you can come to the city center (just a short walk) an give you a city map (Without demanding any money!!!)

I love this city. The ship docked really close and a short walk puts you in the heart of the Damm. Great vibe annoyingly something for everyone. HOPO boat is ideal.

We took the Canal excursion it was interesting. We went out to dinner on our own that evening and would highly recommend the fish and chips at The Old Bell Pub.

Saw workings of working old style windmill. People actually lived inside them. Loved the history.

Amsterdam very easy to get around. Used Uber no problems at all. Car came wwithin the allotted time period. Took us straight to hotel. Van Gough Museum was a bust for me. His Sunflowers was on display. What s beautiful piece of art work. Wish more of his paintings from that era were in museum. We took a canal boat tour with blue boat. Very impressive and a must do.
