Took the Jeep tour. It was so fun! Great day exploring the island! Had plenty of time after the excursion for shopping and dining off the ship. We explored the area around port by foot.

Short stop did our own things but the on/off bus jerked us and we did not get to go where we wanted and was very disappointed. Get a short taxi ride to the Waterfront where there are awesome looking beaches, shopping and restaurants. Next time we know better.

We took an excursion which was wonderful. We did a walking tour which included St. John's Cathedral, an unbelievable work of art with a very well informed tour guide named Laura. This was a much-anticipated port for us as we had never been to Malta and we were not disappointed.

We loved Malta! The feel of New York and San Francisco is what we got and what a beautiful island. Very interesting for sure! Maybe a longer holiday there.

Glass factory - A1.... They a huge showroom labelled seconds, reduced pricing. I couldn't find flaws in 90%+ of the items there, which were beautifuland very attractively priced

We did the Taste of Malta tour. We visited Mostadome and it was very impressive. Went to a winery and glass blowing. Winery was very nice and we did buy some there. Glass blowing was ok but not the highlight for us. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and made it a nice tour. We also walked around in Valletta and we enjoyed that as much as anything.

Beautiful country. Don’t do the beach excursion. Enjoy the town or find your own transportation to another beach than Ghadira.

We hired a private driver between two couples and highlights were Mdina for glass and pastizzes, Arts and Crafts Village for Glass and Pottery (under heavy construction in September), the Miracle Church of Mosta that took a direct hit from a 400lb Luftwaffe bomb in WW2 and no one died, the pretty painted Maltese boats – the Luzzu and the Dgħajsa - in Marsaxlokk harbour and the lovely old buildings along the waterfront near the port. There’s a lift up to the main town of Valletta - pay going up, free going down - worth the price as an exciting ride down! The pharmacist at the terminal was excellent. Despite the crap weather that followed us from Korcula, we had an amazing day here.
