We did not book a tour. We took the ferry, which is right where the boat tenders, to Portofino and San Frutuosso. Portofino is beautiful. San Frutuosso is super cute and has a beach. But it’s super crowded and no sand, only rocks. So I would take water shoes. You can also reserve in advance chairs and umbrellas for 45 euros. We didn’t know that and they were all reserved for the day. We hung out in the restaurant/bar instead because there was no space on the rocks. But we did swim in the Mediterranean.

Great tour guide and a fun tour. We covered a lot of ground visiting a few of the Cinque Terre villages.

We were supposed to swim in the Italian Riveria And it was not as expected. We went on a boat with a total of 6 others. There were no seats just a cushion to sit on. We went out into the sea for at least 45 min and then was told to go off a ladder on the boat into the water. I pictured a beach and a beach chair. Not swimming with current around us and jelly fish. Only the three men went in. The woman watched. VERY LAME

Unfortunately, it rained a lot this day, so we did not see much. This was the port I looked forward to the most and we had planned to enjoy both Santa Margherita and Rapallo, but after an hour or so of wandering in the rain, we gave up and went back to the ship. Maybe some day in the future we'll get back there.

It was wet but we took a city bus to Portofino and then had a delicious lunch in Santa Margherita.
