That's our plan as well! Search for "Portifino to San Fruttuoso hike/ferry" as these are the 2 options to get there it seems. The hike is 4-5km and a couple hours. We're doing that to get there and then taking the 30 minute ferry back. Ferry also continues to Santa Margherita.
