First European trip and hopefully not the last. Streets were a little difficult to figure out with map apps on phone. Could quickly get turned around if you didn’t turn right at a specific spot but the Eternal City is one that should be on everyone’s bucket list. We had two days pre and one post cruise and didn’t get to see nearly what we wanted but saw the most important places on our list.

We bought fast train tickets on Omio App and it was 46 mins to Rome and very easy to use. Termini station we got hop on hop off bus tickets for $20euro pp and enjoyed getting off at each place we wanted to check out. Had the best Gluten free gelato near TREVI Fountain!

It was a quaint Italian city. Stayed in a historic hotel with only 42 rooms called Hotel de La Ville that was clean, neat and attractive.

Rome was FANTASTIC!!! We arrived a day early so we could tour the Coliseum and discover Roma. The city has such amazing history and amazing monuments that must be checked out.

We spent 2 days in Rome pre cruise. It was amazing! We want to go back. Our favorite was the golf cart tour, where we got to see all the famous places without a lot of walking. My husband is disabled so this was a life saver.

I would suggest a tour on this stop. Its already over an hour to rome. So you lose 2 hours at the start. Lines were long, we had skip the line for everthing.
