We used Rome in limo and they had a package deal for all 3 ports. It was absolutely amazing. We had a private limo suv for 5 of us. Our drivers were amazing and brought us to places locals eat for lunch. They got us tickets to Vatican , coliseum, leaning tower and Pompeii with a private tour guide. No waiting anywhere. Prices split between 5 were less than cruise lines prices. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. best tours I’ve ever taken in over 40 cruises.

Hi there, we used Civitavecchia Cab Service a few years ago when we went to Rome and they were fantastic. We booked a private minibus for 6 of us and the driver picked us up from the cruise port and dropped us back at the cruise port after a full day around Rome with a very knowledgeable driver. We would 100% recommend this company and they made our time in Rome extremely enjoyable.

Cruiseline.com/Shipmate excursion partners provide some private tours https://cruiseline.com/excursions/port/civitavecchia-rome-italy. You'll see they offer the same guarantees as the cruise lines.

We have used Viator but mainly for transfers from airports to hotels to cruise ports. Drivers have always been friendly and personable. Cars are clean.

I have read in researching this that taxis in Rome can be iffy. They even try to rip off the locals.
