Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Port Q&A

4.3
Can you walk from the ship in Civitecchia to the train station and how long does it take? We are planning a visit into Rome (our ship will overnight in Civitecchia so no rush to get back to port). Thank you

Technical you can walk from the port to the train station but it's a bit of a hike. Saw some people do it but taking the shuttle bus is more convenient.

ja, je kunt erheen lopen. eenvoudig 1 rechte weg, ongeveer een half uurtje lopen. yes, you can walk there. simply 1 straight road, about half an hour's walk

We did it this summer, and it is definitely doable (we even had suitcases) there are no hills or anything so it’s quite easy. It takes about 25-30 minutes, but it’s a nice walk, as it is close to the ocean

We did a shuttle last summer from the train to the port. It was super consistent and had lots going to and from. :)
