Our travel agent suggested booking a driver through Viator. There will be taxis, but your wait may be quite long to get one. Book a driver who will be there with a sign with your name on it to save time and hassle.

You can reserve a taxi or private car on SIXT.com or Viator.com and the driver will be waiting for you with a sign. This also works to and from the airports or Rome. Available all over Europe.

Our cruise offered an excursion to take you back to Rome with a sightseeing tour attached. It was a bonus for us since we won’t have much time on Rome after our cruise.

The cost is approximately 200.00 Euro for a taxi from the port to Rome

This price was for a prearranged pick up for two people.

Yes you can. We pre-arranged a private transfer through Viator from port Civitavecchia to FCO. The only problem was that they didn’t show up. There were others who’s pick up displayed their names for pickup just not ours. Luckily there’s were plenty of taxis available to take us to the airport. Have some cash available because the first guy we approached said he only took cash but later excepted our credit card. It was around 135 euros for two people. Consider the Princess transfer to avoid the stress.
