Santorini is a beautiful town, but it is extremely touristy with lots of tacky souvenir shops.

This port was cancelled. This was very disappointing as this was the major highlight of this cruise.

Did Charming Oia Village. Village is beautiful but souveniers are overpriced. Also cable car lines are long no matter when.

The excursion (through United) was okay, but it seemed as though the guide was trying to think of things to do as we went along. It was supposed to include a wine tasting which I was looking forward to, but it didn't happen and wasn't mentioned. He asked us if we wanted to see yet another beach, but we all opted to go back to the ship. Thank God, because the cable car to take us to the tender had a 2 hour line. Hundreds if not thousands of people winding through the streets of Santorini in this line (4 cruise ships in port at the same time). There were fights in the line as tempers were short and people were stressed. Our ship did go out 1.5 hours later than stated and we were the last 2 people on the last tender. We almost got left. It really left a bad taste in my mouth about Santorini.

Better book an excursion with the cruise line to get priority exiting the ship. We didn't because thought it would be easy to walk around (which it was) but we had very little time to see things given the time we were able to get the tender to the island (after 11am). The views here are nice, but there is just too many people, huge lines everywhere, and selfie takers or people with tripods blocking the narrow streets. Also, lack of clear instructions for tourists (eg, the bus station to Oia seems like a parking lot for tour buses so it's easy to dismiss it and pass by).

Lots of walking and very crowded with 4 ships arriving that day. Recommend doing an excursion so you can ride more and walk less.

SUCK! We didn't get a tender booked right away so we couldn't get off until almost 2:30 pm and then we had to wait in line to take the gondola up which was over 2 hrs. My parents had to go back because it was too hot. Once we got up there it was almost 6 pm we had inky about 1 hr because we were concerned about getting back down. Needless to say, we had to walk down because the lineup for the gondola would have been another 2-plus hrs. Thank goodness my parents didn't come because my sad wouldn't have made it down walking

We had 3 or 4 ships dock at the same time and caused hours of waiting in lines for the cable car that only had 6 cars going up and back. Ridiculous! It actually ruined my Santorini experience to be honest. They need to build a better port if they are going to be getting in so many ships.

Never get off here. It is crowded, town is not ready for receiving high numbers of visitors.

By far our favorite port from what we saw. Be warned that the line to get to the top of the hill on the gondola is quite long and was expected to be 90+ minutes. We opted to ride the donkeys to the top - 30 minutes - five minute wait in line and a 25 minute donkey ride. A must do!!
