great excursion. 3 ships in port so we avoided the cable cars to get back to port. Had to avoid the donkey doo on the way down the path. Not recommended for people not used to walking. Trip was very slippery due to stones. Didn't smell bad at all but the avoidance of donkeys and poo was quite challenging. The villages of Oi and and Fira were beautiful. Wine tasting was great.

Interesting

We had an excursion booked with the cruise ship. We had to tender and left an hour and a half later than our ticket time. As a result, we did not have near enough opportunity to do anything we were slated to do and it was all rushed. People we knew got off onto the tender boats immediately and had ample time and the cost to them was much less.

Santorini is one of the most beautiful island of Greece. We almost miss it by joining the wrong excursion. We were very disappointed with the excursion hightlight of Santorini because it did not include Oia, which was the must see in Santorini.

Great leader for the excursion. With so many people using the cable cars and having to wait as long as 2 hours, another cable car network should be built. Too dangerous walking down over 500 steps to avoid the wait. Some people were injured.

Excellent

Had been here previously, beautiful port. Draw back off this port is the cable car. IF there is another ship there, the wait time for the cable car was 2 hours. We went ahead and took a boat to Oia for $30 Euros each and went to discover the other side of the island, then went to Fira via Taxi, $10 EU per person and walked around. Once the other cruise ship left, we were able to go down the cable car without any wait. If your cruise is there till about 4 pm, you will have a problem returning to the ship as the cable car line is huge. We were luck our cruise stayed till 9:30 PM.

No exursion. We completed a 6 mile hike from Fira to Oia - it was beautiful!

Gorgeous and memorable but crowded and smaller than you think. A must visit.
