There were 5 cruise ships in port at the same time. Because the cable car situation is so slow, the port stopped accepting tenders. We missed our $500 tour because we didn't get to the port until 45 minutes too late. Very disappointing.

You are tendered from ship to Santorini. You must get a "number" the night before porting in Santorini in order to board the ender. Hint: Get your number EARLY on Monday or early Tuesday or u will be waiting an hour or more to get on a tender. In Santorin, be prepared to wait 1-2 hours to get on the cable car to go up into Santorini.

This was the worst. We did not get to see Santorini at all. 3 cruises ships at once in a city and port that can not support it. We got off the ship and to the top of port to only have time to get something to eat. Getting back on the ship was a disaster as people were cutting in line to get on tender. No one was forcing people into a line. A lot of us began yelling at people.

We did a bus excursion here. Interesting taking the switchbacks up the rocky cliff but again the island is rocky & bare & very hot. The white homes & bougainvillea are beautiful. I think going to Oia would be best & if interested in beaches doing that.

This port was chaotic with 6 other cruise ships coming in the same day. Tendering was bad and getting up and down from Fira to the boat was horrible. There was no communication, lines were obnoxious and overall there were too many people in a small area. The island was interesting and great for pictures but that was really all it had to offer. We did a tour of the island and we enjoyed it

Went to a winery and had lunch. No tour. Took a cab.

Excursions cancelled

Could not dock at the port so we tendered. More than a two hour wait to get to the top of the hill and then another two hours wait to get down. We were told busses couldn't get to port for excursions.
