At this port we rented a driver from Viator. We had the driver for 4 hours and it was 300 USD. It was a nice big van and there was 4 of us. We visited the highest point and Opia and Fira. We walked a little old village on the south side of the is;and and then went to the red beach for an amazing sun set. We went to the top somewhere and could see the place where the cruise ship was all shining and the church in the back ground. This is a perfect island and we visited at the perfect time because the crowds were not bad at all. Perfect ending to our cruise.

The excursion did not give us any time at each stop. It was out of the bus hurry, hurry, hurry. No time for doing anything on your own. I would not recommend an excursion at this port and just be on your own.

A BIG MESS. FOUR CRUISE SHIPS AT A PLACE WITHOUT THE INFRASTRUCTURE FOR IT WAS A NIGHTMARE FOR EVERYONE THAT DAY. OLDER ADULTS FORCED TO DESCEND THOSE ALMOST 700 SLIPPERY STEPS IN THE HOT SUN WAS UNSAFE. TOO MANY PEOPLE WERE HURT. I love Santorini but next time, stay on the ship. Cruise companies need to be better about planning stops. Ridiculous and dangerous.

What was a nice location easy spoiled by being overcrowded with 6cruise ships in port at once. Would not bother to go ashore if I went back.

Ugh. What a nightmare! To get those white buildings and blue tops you have to get to OIA! Don’t use the donkeys that’s rude. Cable car is a joke but your only option
