Up to 5 ships docked on our day so we took a ship excursion. It took us around on a boat to Oia which is where you have to go to see the Iconic blue domes. Most all excursions only go to Fira which is a ways away and is all white buildings. Both cities are filled with shops on both sides of the narrow walkways. Unfortunately, now with Instagram folks needed the "most iconic" pics, it is so crowded at every viewing point and sooo hot! It was sad that it is so run over with people, and they don't stop to take in the vibe and wonder and the beauty of what it once was. Once in Fira, we got in line for the Cable car and we waited about 45 minutes to get on, so not bad at all. The line looks impossible, but it moves pretty fast.

Could take this or leave it very touristy, you could walk the donkey trail NOT recommended ! or take the BIG bottle neck lift to the top and back down, NOW be prepared sometimes it's a 2 hr line to get down, don't miss your ship !

Unable to go here because port was unable to embark passengers that missed ship. Missed first day at sea and needed to find own transportation to Syhdns, despit Insurance, CruisesOnly phone calls and numerous calls to NCL!

Beautiful port, but too many cruise ships in port at the same time. It was like being herded through narrow streets like cattle. I would prefer to visit, but not on a cruise. We got up early to take the cable car to the town. Most people waited in a long line. Upon return, the line was too long and we had to walk down or else miss the last tender to the cruise ship. It would have been over an hour and a half wait for the cable car. We did not take an excursion. We hiked from Fira to Oia and took a bus back.

A beautiful town but it was extremely overcrowded. You could barely walk because of all the people. We couldn't get out of there fast enough. The excursion ended in Santorini, and they told us to find the funicular to get back to the ship, but didn't tell us where to go to find it. There were no signs telling us where to go. This town was
