We are traveling next November (23). Is there a long wait for the cable cars? Also besides the stairs and Donkeys is there any other way to the top? Thank you

Never went for Donkeys or stairs. Stairs are crowded, very dirty. Stairs are shared with Donkeys. Filled with urine & $&)& from the donkeys. Do a ship excursion and it brings you to the top.

When we went in September, yes. About a 40 minute wait but of course timing is everything. Prior to, we did a "sail the caldera" so we went early afternoon. Did the cable car up and down, dinner overlooking ship with magnificent sunset.

Ur is animal cruelty. They do not treat them well . cruise ship discourage using donkeys. You can walk

the day your there the only other ship of any size is the Norwegian breakaway.. 3800 guests...arriving an hour before you..so any option shouldn't be too bad

I didn't have a long wait this past October 22nd. November is off season so you should be fine. Check cruisemapper to see how many ships in port that day.

The wait is long so plan ahead. It took us about 45 minutes in the line to get up and another 45 minutes to get down as the lines are long. Please don’t use the donkeys, they are treated awful and it’s animal abuse. If you’re in good shape the walk isn’t bad, otherwise just add time for the wait for the chairlift. Have a great cruise!

Yes there is another way to the top. We took a bus tour that ended at the top. Unfortunately there is a wait to come down too. I noticed some women begging as we waited in line. I don’t think they were THAT poor as they had beautiful painted nails and hair. Be careful of that. Loved Santorini. My favorite place.
