The port is in the center of the big city(Izmir)It is about 1,5hours away from the most important archeological and religious centers. (Ephesus and House of Mary,St John Church etc)It is very difficult to find taxi and agency around. Definitely arrange your tour before you arrive at the port. My husband and I had booked a private Ephesus tour from a local travel agency. It was a great organization. Our guide was holding a sign that our name written on it and so easy to meet her! I would recommend them to all my friends who want to book shore excursions in Izmir or Kusadasi Cruise Ports without hesitation.
