Best and cleanest port I have ever come across. Security is top notch.

We took the Istanbul Highlights & Bosphorus Cruise tour offered by Princess. Everyone in our group felt it was very disappointing. Headsets worked poor and we wasted time trying to get them to work for the entire group. Mosques were very crowded. Grand bazaar also with not much variety. The amount of walking was excessive. Cruise was nice but not enough percentage of the day. Returned to the ship late. Would not recommend.

I love Istanbul - my husband (not so much). The Oceania excursion we took 1: Panorama Istanbul to get the highlights was to be 3.5 hours but turned into 5+. The guide took us to a Rug store and they basically locked us in the room to show us rugs to buy - not happy about this. The next day we did a cruise on the bosphorus cruise was really nice ... until the end when they felt the need to take us to some old house and make us wait for 1 hour 20 minutes. The organized excursion from Oceania were just terrible! I'm not a Senior but these excursion were not Senior friendly.

Itinerary changed on us from spending 22 hours in Istanbul to 8 hours from which we spent a lot of time because shore excursion team were very unorganized to get us out to the bus.

We did Istanbul on our own, arriving two days before ship sailed - really enjoyed Istanbul. Visited (2) Mosques, Spice Market, Grand Bazaar, and Dolmabahce Palace - a must see.

The whole reason we booked this itinerary. We creamed everything we wanted to do into two days here and it was worth every minute.
