We just shopped here and were disappointed that we lost Santorini as a stop.

I did the Leisurely Drive excursion from this port. We drove up into the hills above Souda Bay (what a view) to visit a fort from the Ottoman empire, we stopped off at a Taverna for a refreshment and a local delicacy, the War Cemetary, another view point from the Venizelos Tombs (listen out for the crickets) and then a drive back to port through Chania town. The guide, who was local, was excellent and very knowledgeable. It was very hot the day we went so if you're going, take water and plenty of sun protection. Fabulous trip!!!

I’ve been here many times as a commercial mariner so I knew what to expect but it was the first time for my wife and she loved it.
