If you plan on walking around the town, be aware that sidewalks, etc. are not very good.

Love love love Antigua!! Had Elton give us a fab tour of the island!!! Saw the natural wonder "the devils bridge" it was so beautiful...even if the road was very rocky!! Will go back there again for sure!!

Antigua is a beautiful island. I visited with Carnival Cruise Lines on the Breeze in 2012. We went on an excursion with only 8 or so other people to a beach we had all to ourselves. The locals and people around the port were all very tourist friendly. They are happy to have you. Felt very welcomed in Antigua. I would love to come back but it’s hard to find a Carnival cruise that goes here anymore.

In Antigua, we made a last minute decision to do an excursion to stingray city (based mostly on our experience in St. Maarten). The excursion was great. We got about 45-minutes in the water with the Stingrays, and the group that ran the tour was excellent. It started raining hard when we got back to the port area, so we only walked around for a few moments before returning to the ship.
