I did a food tour which was an excellent combination of eating/drinking as well as sightseeing and learning about history and culture.

I’ve done the zip line tour, but old San Juan is also very walkable and you can easily explore it on your own if you want something more relaxing. Just be forewarned it is a bit hilly, particularly if you want to walk to one of the forts.

We’ve always enjoyed exploring the town on our own. If you choose a city tour there are many options. I personally was not a fan of the beach excursion we took.
