San Juan, Puerto Rico Port Q&A

We have taken a quick (less than 10 minutes) and inexpensive Uber the last couple times to Escambron Beach. It is right next to the Carib Hilton Hotel. There is a big, pretty grassy area with a cool bridge you can walk across. And there is kind of a wall of coral reef around the swimming area. (the reef is not beautiful itself, but there are lots of fish) So you can snorkel right there in shallow water if you’d like. There are lots of huge palm trees right on the beach for shade. And I remember seeing restrooms there too. ** Allow at least 30 minutes extra for an Uber to come back and get you to head back to the ship though. You’ll have to walk back out to the Main Street for them to stop. **

There’s plenty of beach area in the Isla Verde area. There are vendors in the area as well where you buy food around the beach and on the main avenue. Get dropped off by the CVS and just walk towards the ocean. Live simply and enjoy San Juan.

You can go to condado beach in uber is about 12 min depending the traffic, or you can go to escambron beach it’s about 8 min in uber if you waking is around 20 min.

San Juan isn't really the best beach port. Old San Juan is the draw for this port. Other ports would be my recommendation for your beach days.

No but go into the rainforest and there is a place with a waterfall and swimming. It is beautiful!

The only good beach opportunity on your itinerary is St Maarten
