Check out Daniel Johnson's Monkey and Sloth Hangout. Friendly staff that genuinely care about the animals. Michelle was a great host and waited for us during our beach break at Las Palmas. Forty dollars well spent.

Monkey & sloth hangout a must do! Such an amazing experience to hold and interact with the animals. Transportation and tour of the island. Our driver even took us to a great spot to take a photo with amazing view of the ocean and ship from the hill top!

Little French Key in Roatan was wonderful, good food and the swimming area is great, highly recommend this excursion, especially for anyone not wanting to go to a extremely crowded place, this place had plenty of room and not to crowded

If you get a chance to do the Gumbalimba Animal Park don’t hesitate. It was so awesome. Our guide was such a sweetheart and made our excursion so much fun. The interactions with the macaws and the monkeys were worth the price of admission.

This is always a fun, relaxing day. We make this a beach day and enjoy relaxing in the sun with a good book. Nice little shopping area with local arts, crafts and wares.

Just got back. Went to Little French Key, which is about a 20 min drive (transportation provided with excursion). It was amazing! One of the most relaxing, beautiful places I've ever seen. We have an absolute blast there. Going back next year!

If you’re debating doing the extreme zip line excursion, BOOK IT. Best ever! Great guides, great 12 zip lines. It was absolutely fun!! Make sure you bring bug spray, and water. Highly recommend!

This was a fun port! Lots of shopping and activities to do and see. Always make a deal though when making a purchase! Love to see the cruise ships docked here!

The first stop was Roatan Honduras, the port was nice, but not as built up as the port in Cozumel.  Evidence of the MSC ship hitting the pier was still visible but crews were actively making repairs.  Our first excursion was Maya Key Private Island Retreat. It was beautiful. The picture for the excursion on the RCL website is deceiving. While it was an island, it was a stone’s throw from the island of Roatan. We only saw one beach that was maybe a hundred yards long. While it was secluded, only because it was an island, it did not feel secluded when it was being used by other cruise lines.  We were only there half an hour when passengers from other cruise lines started picking up peoples’ things from the beach chairs and moving it to other locations while people in our group were in the water.  My wife and I were in the water when we saw them pick up our entire beach chairs and move them, then move other chairs to where ours had been. After that we picked up our stuff and moved up to the pool area. The included food was bland for my tastes. I did walk through the animal pens and saw some beautiful animals.  It is great that there are people and places that make the effort to take care of these abandoned and rescued animals. It is also sad that that these majestic animals end up having to be rescued.  The prices in the port overall seem to be cheaper her than I Cozumel. We purchased a 1.75-liter bottle of Bacardi for $16.  The wife told me it was considerably cheaper than the price in the Cozumel port.
