Large, ugly port. 😬. We went to Maracas Beach - another expensive taxi ride. There were red flag warnings and shallow water so we mostly stayed at waist level.

Beautiful city we did on our own.

Long bus ride with monotone guide. Bad for shopping

People were great. Trinidad is coming up

I stayed on the ship but my husband and Friends got off and Roamed around the Port. They thought it was kind of dirty.

I went into port here as well. Be wary of the people wanting to give you tours they up charge you even though there is a price guide outside of the door to each place. I have some local Roti man it was delicious and packed full. I had potatoes, spinach chicken, and pinto beans for 10 and it was filling I had to go back on the ship and take a nap 💤. There are stalls on the outside of the port just like all the others but you can get better deals out there and on the inside ones.

Maracas Waterfall was beautiful but the road is washed out so the hike starts straight uphill on pavement so be prepared. The guides were excellent!

We took a ship organised excursion to the bird sanctuary. We're not into bird watching but it was a fantastic day. Saw flamingos, red ibis and loads of other wildlife. The guide was very informative and took his time to explain everything he saw. If you get chance to go on this excursion, do it!

Went for a walk around town.

Unique city and island tour. Very scenic island.
