Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Port Reviews

Half Moon Cay was one of my favorite ports! The water was so clear! They had some amazing local shops on the island. I love that we had to take a smaller boat to get to the island. It was so pretty. The bar on the island was perfect.

This place took my breath away. Absolutely a beautiful beach. Ample chairs/restrooms/seating areas. There was a playground for kids, a volleyball/basketball court, and a lot of water sports. The food was good for a beach day (i.e. hamburger, hot dogs, jerk chicken, rice, pastas, fruits, desserts, etc.). We rented 2 blue Clamshells which were about $20 bucks a piece (worth it if you are anti-direct sun😜). The tender to and from the boat could have been a little more smoothly; however once we got to the island it made me forget all about the boat ride (about a good 5-10 minute ride). I definitely enjoyed this place and can’t wait to go back again!!!

If only Carnival would offer an itinerary with an overnight to Half Moon Cay and/or included Princess Cays. Leave Nassau out and just do the private islands. Half Moon Cay is so relaxing and peaceful; especially after coming from Nassau.

By far, my favorite port. The water is pristine. I snorkeled and swam for hours. Then they played my jams making the turn-up even realer. The food was blah but who am I to complain when you’re literally playing in paradise.

No excursion needed to enjoy this island. We purchased faster to the fun so we were on the first tender out. We were able to get seating in the shade. We rented a clam shell but never even used it since our seats were already in the shade. The lunch provided wasnt the best as what you get on board, but enough to fill you up for the remainder of the time on the island. There is a spray park, which our toddlers enjoyed. The water is beautiful and staff friendly.

The water here is sooooo beautiful. I enjoyed relaxing in the cabana and taking a dip in the water. My kids were in the water the entire time and did not want to leave. This place was so relaxing and peaceful.

Easily the most beautiful beach I’ve ever laid eyes on. Booked another cruise specifically because half moon is on the itinerary and my last visit was with with kids. Upcoming cruise with my fiancé and I need him to see this place! Unbelievably gorgeous! I’m in love!

Really enjoyed this little piece of heaven! Crystal clear water and plenty of things to do. My son and I rented sea trikes and had a blast exploring the cay. The ship brings food and booze to the cat and there is plenty of staff around to make sure any of your needs are met. Great destination 👍
