Unfortunately, not many passengers were impressed with this port because of the poor facilities off the dock. The best thing to do here is take an excursion away from the dock area. I took a hike up Mount Nevis to Herbert Heights, and it was one of the highlights of the cruise. The hike was medium difficulty, and the sights were beautiful. The family that hosts the hike are very friendly and welcoming and serve delicious native foods. If your cruise ship offers this excursion, take it! It's a great opportunity to learn about life and culture on the island from one of the families, a true immersion experience.
