Great port! Beautiful scenery! It wasn't much you could do if you didn't book an excursion. But I like to shop so that's what we did. We walked by the pool it was beautiful but we didn't get in because I have a 1 year as well as a 5year old so they were exhausted by then. But I loved it!

I loved this port. Especially the bar at the top of the hill. Drinks and food were really great. Get the calamari and a mango melon. The Presidente Light was also tasty.

Beautiful place. The private resort excursion was well worth it. The actual port, Amber Cove was nice but there isn’t beach access. There is a water park area though.

We visited Amber Cove in 2015 and we loved it. The beaches was beautiful and I even purchased a beautiful sundress from one of the shops. Didn’t do any excursions there, but enjoyed the port a lot!!!!!

Its was beautiful. Resort style pool, bar, food, zip lining, water sports, private bungalows overlooking pool area, plus more. All right at port. Long walk from ship to port but Buggy Taxis are always onsite ready to give rides so no worries.

Loved the pool area. Was like paying to go to a resort in the Dominican without paying. The beer was cheap a bucket of 5 was $20. Lots of chairs, water was warm. The staff was very friendly. The walk to the pool area would be a long walk for people with mobility issues or small kids. So take a stroller, wheel chair, or use the pedicab.

My family and I stayed in the port and rented a hillside cabana. It was totally worth it! The staff are amazing, the food is really good, and it is a beautiful port! Definitely recommend!

We only left the ship at Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic. We missed this Carnival private port on the Vista in 2016 due to strong winds. We rented an Ocean View Cabana which was very enjoyable. My daughter and son-in-law rode the zip line once and decided as much fun as it was, the trek back to the top really wasn’t worth it. The pool looked very inviting and there were plenty of chairs but I really enjoyed sitting and relaxing in the Cabana with an occasional hop into the water. Getting up the ladder out of the water is quite an ordeal. I suggest a couple more rungs on the ladder deeper in the water. Pretty tough on us older folk (I’m 72) and those who may be a bit on the hefty side.

We did the Outback excursion and stopped at a school. We brought school supplies for the kids. They were very happy. We visited a kindergarten class that had 25 kids. We brought enough for everyone. Yoky and Miguel were awesome. Had a great time.
