We attempted an excursion, but missed our ferry when it was not clearly spelled out that we needed a separate ticket to get to the village from the Norwegian resort area! I double checked later, and there was NO mention in the daily ship flyer that we needed to do this ahead of time!

This is my biggest disappointment in NCL. It looks nice, but it is nothing more then a money trap. The beverage package does not apply on this private island nor do they offer any food unless you pay extra for it. Water at the beach is not clear and there is not enough shade. Pool is nice, however. All other cruise line's private island's we have been on, the drink package worked on the island and they included a picnic buffet style lunch.

Loved the private beach, plenty of chairs and umbrellas and the facilities were clean and close. Beach sand was rather hard to walk on but flip flops worked very well in order to get to the water and play volleyball with them on.

My favorite port by far!! This is Norwegians own private island. The down side is that you are trapped to their food and drinks WHICH ARE NOT CHEAP, so come prepared. You can rent "cabanas" which are literally beach tents. We did not do this, but simply got off the ship walked as far down the boardwalk as we could, and found 5 lounges with umbrellas under a palm tree. We stayed in the shade and my kids swam and had a great time. The breeze off the Caribbean sea was cool and refreshing under the hot sun. It was a day of simply relaxing and doing absolutely nothing!! The ship is docked close enough that if you absolutely wanted to, you could go back to the ship to eat and then return to the beach for some more fun. Since it's Norwegian's island, there are no other ships. The island was large enough for 4,000 people to spread out nicely. We weren't on top of each other. It was perfect. We didn't do any excursions, but there were several activities on or near the island to do.

This was our favorite port. So new and clean. Well laid out. Beautiful beach. We did have jelly fish warning signs but only saw one all day, and that was while the ship docked. Water so nice and warm. If the beach is not your thing, the pool is huge - HUGE, but again, as with most things, get there early if the pool is your thing. It gets busy. You can see the zip-lines above you, but we did not try them.
