Falmouth, Jamaica Port Reviews

Wife and I took an Excursion here. Was not what we expected. But it did let us know how blessed we really are.

Guess you really need an excursion here.. we walked around the port area and it was ok

Loved the falls and sky ride. Our tour with Chanel was a blast.

We visited the port and shopped. The port was clean and had many vendors.

Our tour guide was late bringing us back and we almost missed the boat.

We just walked around town shopping. It was a fine stop

Port was busy!

Jamaica was very boring. Prior to the stop Workers from the boat kept up selling the jewelry shop at port, so once we got there they took everyone to the jewelry shop and tried to get you with “spin for free diamond earrings” they wouldn’t take no for an answer. There was nothing to do except walk around the booths and be pressured to buy things.

Excursion was extremely subpar. The island is filthy, trash all over the sides of the road. The bus we were on was extremely small. We were packed on like sardines. You couldn't even walk normally down the aisle between the seats. It was supposed to be a panoramic tour with a guide. The tour was mostly a ride to Ocho Rios that took way longer than it should have and there was very little historical information shared. We were told there would be ample time for shopping and lunch on our own after a rum tasting. The shopping was at 1 store they chose for 20 minutes an was our only bathroom stop. We were told on the ride that we were to order lunch ahead of time and all except 2 Jerk Chicken meals were unavailable. The food was in very small portions, expensive, and the worst meal we had all weak. I was shaking by the time we returned to the ship because I had not had enough food.

Did Duns Falls hike with stop at Blue Hole. Both excursions were terrific. Facilities at Port were first class. Great shopping. Safe and clean.
