Only stayed within the shops on the pier. Everyone was so nice here. They were always polite and never pushy. When the ship was leaving all the people working there came down to the pier and waved us good bye. I have never seen that before.

Roatan was a stunning and beautiful city in Honduras. We went on the Victor Boddan Fun in the Sun Tour and I highly recommend it. Our tour guide was amazing. She kept us both entertained and educated on the city, it’s nature, it’s alternative medicine, and it’s politics. The drive up certain hills/mountainous areas is NOT for the weak of heart. I have high anxiety and I was freaking out! The views were 100% worth it though, so push through! We had a great time visiting the Jungle Retreat and got to hang out with sloths, monkeys, macaws, and more! We ended the tour with a trip to Bananarama Beach Resort which is beautiful. The beach and water were perfect. There are A LOT of beach vendors, but a simple “no” sends them off. On the way back to port, our tour guide gave all the ladies some beautiful handmade bracelets and stopped for more photo opportunities. Overall, it was a perfect day in Honduras!

We absolutely loved this port. It was so beautiful. We booked an excursion with Victor Bodden. Got to hold a sloth and had monkeys on our shoulders. It was an experience I wouldn’t trade.

We had a great day. We went snorkeling on the Jolly Roger and had a blast. After that we went back to the ship and dropped our gear off, then went to lunch. This was our second trip to Roatan, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time.

Very friendly people & uniquely beautiful place. The port itself is lacking (I did see them doing construction though so I guess it will be upgraded soon). I took a great private tour through Real Deal Roatan and we took a custom tour that included the monkey/bird/sloth farm (would definitely recommend). We got to get a great view at the hilltop as well. We also got his viewpoint of what real life in the Carribean is like & then got taken on a small boat to snorkel at a massive reef surrounded by turquoise waters. Definitely see some of the natural beauty when you visit! Roatan is famous for a reason!

We have been to Roatan a few times and have enjoyed each trip One must do is Gumblima park. It is so much fun interacting with the monkeys and the macaws. There is alot to do and you can make multiple trips to see the monkeys if you want to. Another recommended excursion is the jolly Rogers snorkeling. The water is so clear and the reef is so close. It was amazing. They also served food and rum drinks on the way back to port. The catamaran was clean and an excellent ride to and from the snorkeling site. The port itself has a few restaurants and shopping.
