Hi. Not sure how much a cab would cost, but there are a few local tour companies that will let you plan your own day. You’ll get a price quote for your specific itinerary. (We have used Rony’s Tours). Or you can look up a specific animal encounter place, like Manawakie or Daniel Johnson’s, and they might quote you for transportation to get there and back (?).

Hi. We have used a local tour company, Rony’s Tours. You deign your own tour and they will give you a quote based on your stops and how many people. Not sure how much a cab would be. You could also try emailing the animal place direct: we have done Manawakie and Daniel Johnson’s. They might tell you what the cost is for transportation to and from (?)

You can easily just get transportation on your own if that is all you want to do. Just be sure you negotiate price before and confirm whether it includes both people for that price. Take a picture of the cab license plate before going so they know you can track them down if needed. Be cautious. Roatan does have some scammers. Also, you can negotiate once you get off the ship, fewer ships in port will need better price.

Here is a link for excursions offered by our excursion partners. https://cruiseline.com/excursions/port/coxen-hole-roatan-bay-islands-hondurasTheir guarantees are listed in the app and also on their site - you'll find that they offer all of the same assurances as do the cruise lines.

Try Bodden Tours (BoddenTours.com). You can customize your own excursion. We have used them 4 times & it has been wonderful. They will pick you up at the port & very good with communications. Have a wonderful first cruise! 🛳️😎

It is smart to always book through the cruise line even though it may cost a little more.

most definetly cheaper booking yourself but you lose out on the promise to wait if anything goes wrong. also easier to cancel thru ship if you need to change plans

it may be cheaper to do it through a third party, but if something happens you don't have that security that the ship won't leave you of your late returning.

When we went to Roatan, we went with the company and it was fine!

We always book through the cruise line bc if the excursion is late returning, the ship will wait on you. If not booked through the cruise line…they will leave you if you are late getting back. Just my opinion.

we use Real Deals very Dependable, see what they have to offer, not that expensive either.

Try googling Shore Excursion Group. They have lots of trips the same as the cruise line, but cheaper. Also, they guarantee you'll be back to the ship on time.
