The Dutch influence in Curacao is on display in the street names and shops. Mocko Jumbi dancers were grooving on a side street when we got off the Queen Emma bridge and we headed to La Boheme first for arepas (gluten free) and a smoothie. Then, off to Playa Porto Marie thirty minutes from Willemstad for a beach break. Didn't see the wild pigs there, but the beach was smallish and wonderful, easy swimming and bar there for smoothies and food. Lovely place.

This was a gorgeous port. We've been to Holland so we loved seeing the similar culture in this port. We went on an excusion that took us to a cave an then to Cas Aboa beach for snorkeling and it was cool, the beach was really small, secluded and nice. However, the coral was pretty dead and there wasn't a ton of sea life and the snorkeling was pretty short and they didn't give you fins. They also made us stay in a group while snorkeling which was lame. I'd imagine you'd have to go further out to see much but it wasn't the best snorkeling.

We booked a resort for a day. It was the Santa Barbara resort. The property was beautiful. Checking in was so slow. They were definitely understaffed and we had a very difficuld time getting food and drinks. I wouldn't recommend this resort
