Absolutely beautiful under advertised island - called the garden isle of the Caribbean-people were great - we did a tour and hiked to waterfalls and swam in the rain forest, botanical gardens as well as sightseeing and shopping

Not a necessary stop

The staff were not nice at all and they lied to us and took many people’s money although the excursion clearly said everything was paid for. The ocean where we went swimming had 2 drop offs and many people were hurt because Boone told us about it

Beautiful island!

We took a walk into town. There is not a lot to see here so you might want to book an excursion. It's a beautiful island with lots of greenery.

Small port, enjoyed the river tubing adventure.

Waterfalls and river tubing excursion was pretty good. Our guide - the son of a former head of the island - was so knowledgeable! The river was low so tubing was so-so but the day was enjoyable.

Favorite spot. Hot Springs were Awesome, and fairly private. Limited people at this spot.

Had a great tour on the island of Dominica. First we drove up steep, narrow, windy roads to Jacko Falls. Fortunately the altitude made it very comfortable and not too hot. The tour was rated as “easy,” but required walking down 75 steps (and back up) at the waterfall. Next on our tour was Dominica Botanical Garden. The country’s bird was housed in a fenced in sanctuary and we couldn’t get close enough for a photo. The Sisserou Parrot is protected and it is probably among the oldest species of Amazon parrot in the world, and is found only in Dominica. The garden was full of beautiful trees and plants.

We enjoyed the Gorge Swim portion of our excursion. The Sulfur Hot Springs were comfortable once you trained to breathe through your nose. Within our van visiting both - we were in the minority, most enjoyed the hot springs over the freshwater swim in the gorge.
