Take a bus to Marigot and hike to Fort Louis. Buses only cost $1.50 per person (the biggest bargain of all!) and were airconditioned and comfortable. The view from Fort Louis is one of the best in all of the Caribbean.

I love love love this place. The people are friendly, beaches are superclean and I love the port. We feel very safe at this port. The women on the beach that try to sell you stuff can be annoying you just keep telling them no and they eventually will leave you alone, that seems to be the only downfall.

St. Maartens is nice, but dirty. The locals don't like hearing no thanks or no. They keep pushing until you basically just start ignoring them. Alot of the same shops. And The Yoda Man is the best stop.
