I went to Maho beach a couple of years ago and thought it was so cool. I even acted like a idiot(against my wife's wishes) and stood against the fence while planes where taking off. Its like being poked by a million needless at once as the sand gets blown at you. But I just had to do it a few times. Sunset bar was nice to hang out at while waiting for planes. But my concern now is whether or not sunset bar is still around after the hurricanes and if planes are still flying in. This year we are bringing the kids and I wanted them to experience the low planes right over the beach

Took the morning “Red open top bus tour” only went round the Dutch side of the island. Too many shop stops rum, cheese and a carousel ride with ice cream. Only spent 15 mins at Maho beach where we could have spent some time for a drink and to watch the planes coming in. Enjoyed seeing everyday life on the island but felt this was set up to sell us as much as possible. Your finished 15 mind early

Beautiful port but the shop keepers had a lot of mass produced merchandise and were unfriendly. This was the first stop on the cruise, I wish the people were friendlier and the souvenirs were hand crafted like Haiti.

We did the st Maarten beach Rendezvous excision. It was nice. The food was great at The Greenhouse! They took us to kim-sha-beach. Servers on the beach was nice. A lot of people trying to sell you stuff Next time we would take the water taxi and go to the beach there, as it was similar style beach/just as good and cheaper. There is a Greenhouse restaurant right there, and plenty to do. Overall it’s our favorite island, it’s recovering from the store but running great!

One of my favorite stops! Gorgeous water, so much to see and do! Get yourself a water taxi pass and ride all day! Hang out on the beach, rent a jet ski, and swim! To my mind this port has the best shopping- variety, and area.
