Least favorite of the islands visited. Traffic was horrible. Maho beach overcrowded. Ended up going to another beach. Chairs there were overpriced. Pushy vendors. Taxi drivers were very friendly. Shopping was superb and sales people willing to negotiate.

The shopping in St. Martin was the best. The beaches are wonderful.

Once I'd found out from our tour guide that cock-fighting is still legal and regularly done on the French side of the island (St Martin), I wished I hadn't spent any money there. I would have spent it all in St Maarten, the Dutch side. There's certainly enough good shopping there.

do not do Da Party bus. they do not have enough chairs for everyone and due to no one saying anything to us we left before it even left the lot. 3 hours on a bus hanging onto a strap is not a good time (unless thats your thing).
