St. Maarten/St. Martin is a beautiful island. We had a nice tour of both the Dutch side and French side. This was not a Celebrity excursion, but we purchased ours through Viator as Celebrity's island tour excursion was sold out well in advance of the cruise. We stopped at a couple of wonderful overlooks and a beach on each side of the island. The group was given the option on whether we preferred to spend more time at Bikini Beach on the French side or the tourist trap Sunset Beach on the Dutch side. The group chose Sunset Beach, watching the aircraft fly directly overhead. In the 90 minutes we were there, we saw three of them fly past. Our group of four would have preferred Bikini Beach. It wasn't crowded and we could have enjoyed a refreshing swim.

We did a 3 hour tour of St. Maarten (Best of St Maarten) which was ok but stopped only briefly at a few spots, none of which had good shopping or restaurants. Next time we'll catch the water taxi at the pier and go the Great Bay Beach on our own. Lots to do near ship including multiple casinos and lots of shopping.

Beautiful island! My favourite place I’ve ever been to by far! We took a water taxi across the water to check out shops and have lunch. We then took a catamaran out for 3 hours snorkeling and beach stop.

We did the st Maarten beach Rendezvous excision. It was nice. The food was great at The Greenhouse! They took us to kim-sha-beach. Servers on the beach was nice. A lot of people trying to sell you stuff Next time we would take the water taxi and go to the beach there, as it was similar style beach/just as good and cheaper. There is a Greenhouse restaurant right there, and plenty to do. Overall it’s our favorite island, it’s recovering from the store but running great!

No excursion needed here. Take the water taxi right from the port, for $7 pp all day trips, over to the town. Huge beach and nice boardwalk area. Walk around the town. Take cash for the chairs/umbrellas/food/drinks. We rented 2 chairs, umbrella and included 6 beers for $20 from a place called NuLuv.
