We went to a beach bar not far from the cruise port, Harbour Lights. It is a bit hard to review a whole island or city by just one place, but it was where we went. Personally, Harbour Lights is very over rated, the staff are very rude.

Took a taxi to Holetown. Lovely small shops. Lunch at Zaccias on the Beach. Rented chairs and umbrella for $20. Best beach on the cruise.

Barbados was our favorite port. Didn't see much of the island, but did the Tiami catamaran and turtle excursion. Highly recommend this excursion. Nice catamaran and great crew. Had coffee and pastries when we got on. Also a good buffet lunch on the boat, and good drinks.. soft drinks, rum punch and other rum drinks, and beer. You won't leave thirsty. Snorkeling with the sea turtles was awesome and stopped at a nice beach for awhile.

Love barbados! We went to the boatyard and had the best time! For $50 we were able to get two chairs, umbrella, welcome drink, and 2 snorkeling tours! They have fun water slide, rope swing off a pier, and tramp! We swam with sea turtles, sting rays and plenty of fish. Go! Go! Go! PS- try the flying fish!

ummm. it was Independence day and due to the time of our arrival we missed the parade. All the shops were shut. however pirates cove is a great beach front located on carlise bay. it was the best beach front out of all the ports we had visited. When walking to bridgetown from the port look out for a shop window selling 'iceey' on the left hand side of a side road. it was delicious.

One of my favorite ports. Out of the main Caribbean islands this one is beautiful and much less crowded than the virgin islands. Leaving the port can be overwhelming if you aren't used to dealing with cabs, but once away from the port you can feel the natural beauty of it. Much less commercialized than the other main islands you can feel the true Caribbean way of life. My cabbie took us to a beach that was about 29 minutes from the port and was a good mixture of locals sprinkled with a few cruisers. Not busy at all, they help make you feel comfortable while you enjoy the blue waters as well as the high end homes that line the beach (think Malibu in California). I enjoyed that it was quiet since most cruisers stayed closer but it was nice to see something different. Definitely want to return to enjoy more time there.
