Since we were a smaller ship, this port was not too crowded. We went to the less crowded right side of the area to snorkel and have more space. I enjoyed it more than I expected, but after the disappointment of missing Grand Turk, it was only a small consolation. The privately owned ports seem to me to be just another way for Carnival to make more money off of their guests. There were very few excursions offered at this port.

Again the reviews of the excursion options were just fair. I had won the glass bottom boat excursion at the shore excursion "talk". I was really glad I didn't pay $50 for it. While the guide had several samples of sponges to see and touch, we saw maybe 6 fish during the hour long trip - except when we threw stale hot dog buns overboard and fish came up to eat it. But it was interesting that after the "first throw", the fish didn't come back for more. My friend stayed on the beach after the excursion and I took the tender back to the ship. She enjoyed her afternoon there.
