Princess Cays is a perfect beach day. There’s not much to do on the island and there’s very little shopping. If you just come with the expectation of hanging out at the beach and taking it easy then you will enjoy it. Two things to remember: this is a tender port and even though it is owned by Carnival, the Cheers package is not valid on the island.

Loved it. We were the only ship in port and we didn’t sail at 100% and there were plenty of chair and clam shells. Chairs were free, clamshell might have been $30. We didn’t get one, but thought I overheard that amount. It’s a private island and Carnival provides free food on the island.

The water was warm and beautiful, but it was chilly when you got out. Very rocky and had a slope in front of chairs. The food was good and service was great as usual. They do have some shops which were nice, but pricey. It was great you could use sail and sign card in stores, etc.

Now this was an excellent port of call, exactly as how I envisioned the Bahamas. We swam in the ocean, laid in the sun, visited the straw market and had an excellent buffet lunch. We were pleasantly surprised that there was no extra charge for the buffet, that was a great customer service idea!!!!
