We have been to many cruiseline private islands. This one is unique if you get to stay overnight because of the Junkaroo parade and the light show. Terrific. The beach swimming is great. The beach on the inlet/bay is waveless and has soft sand. As all warn, the plantings are only 3 years old so there is minimal shade. Lunch was great and not crowded.

The service on the island is similar to the ship: AMAZING. There is work to be done on the island, but once the trees are established and there is more shade, the place will be spectacular. There was jelly fish in the lagoon and the team did not warn the passengers, so we had a hard time with comfort there. Additionally, there was limited sea life within the lagoon and the main beach.

Loved the beaches. Food was good. Love that the ship docked there overnight. We had an excursion to watch the light show from a small ship (with drinks), but the weather didn't cooperate. Also missed out on the beach party and junkanoo because of the weather. Still enjoyed the island. Should have more shopping, especially local vendors like advertised. Would have liked to have had an opportunity to support the local economy. Local food and merchandise vendors would have been nice.

This was the perfect place to be able to swim. Easy to disembark. The food however, was disappointing. We particularly enjoyed the shop selling handmade articles from the Bahamas.

This place was beautiful and awesome and gorgeous and I would go back in a minute. As soon as you get off the ship you are as close as you can possibly get and this island has multiple beaches that you can visit and they do run a golf cart service to pick you up and take you back if needed but I don't think that starts running until later in the morning because I was one of the first people off the ship and I walked over to North Beach but the golf carts were running when I left the beach at noon. It seemed that some of the beaches had free umbrellas whereas others made you pay to rent an umbrella but they all had lounge chairs. In addition there were restrooms nearby as well as food trucks and they did have a restaurant area that served buffet style but I did not eat on the island. If you take a towel with you off the ship you have to return it on your way back and get a fresh beach towel to take back to your cabin. I don't know if MSC plans to do any more development but if you are looking for places with water slides and lots of loud music and zip lining then this is not for you. This is a relaxing beach area and it is truly one of the most beautiful I've ever been to.

They ran out of snorkel equipment on their private island, sadly. The north beach had pristine waters, but you do have to walk over some incredibly uncomfortable rocks and shells to get in the water. The shuttle to return to the ship does not serve non-yacht club guests in anywhere near the capacity it should. Watched 5 or 6 Yacht club shuttles go by before the first "normal" shuttle came to get us.

We had gotten the water wave excursion but unfortunately during our time slot it was lightening so they canceled it. We were a little bummed out because it cleared up quickly but it was booked for the rest of the day. They refunded our money and we were thankful to know that they cared about our safety and the safety of their staff to cancel due to weather instead of just taking our money. Ocean Cay in itself is beautiful and really well taken care of. We spent the day in the water & got horrible sunburns but we enjoyed every minute of it
