Freeport, Grand Bahama Island Port Reviews

We chose the all inclusive Windham private resort day pass. What a total waste of money. we were told there would be snacks and a full lunch buffet. We arrived at the resort by 10:30. there was no food or beverages available until well after 2pm - and we were ushered away back to the ship by 3:45. What did we do? We laid on the beach. Which is what we came to do.... but we did it hungry and thirsty. Luckily we each had a bottle of water in our backpacks. The restrooms were disgusting and the pool was ice cold. The massive jacuzzi was nice though. We really didn't feel welcome at all. We were more of an annoyance to the staff because we were just "day passers" It was disappointing. Getting back to the port, we did a little shopping and got back into a better mood before getting back on the ship.

I enjoyed Freeport.

The port area was nice.

Not much to do but we walked around and enjoyed the day.

Nothing great, unless you're going diving/snorkeling. If not, this is basically a waste of a stop for passengers and just a place for the ship to restock supplies.

Usual port, loved excursion to banana bay

We did the Pirates Cove excursion through carnival. WHAT a waste of time and money. Arrived at destination almost an hour late. Drinks were syrupy sweet and gross but you can ask for fresh cocktail. Would not get off the ship next time. Would have preferred three days at half moon cay.

Gas station stop. I gave 2 stars because at least there are a few shops off the ship. There are some excursions that are nice that you can take but the ship usually leaves at 130pm and it is not worth going to the beach for that little time.

Felt like a shipping yard with a beach nearby.
