Once again I walked around did a little shopping without anyone being pushy. I do love seeing all the different things they have. Ladies if your looking at their dresses make sure to check them out closely and try them on, I tried a few and they were sewn wrong, or had a tear in it. Sakkas online has dresses like these and the quality of the fabric is better and the prices are lower.

I would definitely suggest booking an excursion for this port. There isnt a whole lot to do in the port area itself. There is a little market with a few shops and a couple bars but nothing too entertaining. It is more of a freight port.

I’m giving it 3 stars because we LOVED our swim with the dolphins excursion!! The dolphins were amazing and the workers were fantastic. But if we hadn’t done that, this would have been a super boring stop. After our excursion we went back towards the shops by the ship and the locals were rude and food was expensive. Not a nice area. After our excursion, we bought some shirts and food and got back on the boat. My advice is to book an excursion on this island or stay onboard.

This is my weekend getaway. Living in Palm Beach County, FL we jump aboard Grand Celebration by Bahamas Paradise Cruise Lines. Fun island and gives me that Caribbean feel only being 90 miles away. Tanio beach is a personal favorite and can be enjoyed with a beach break excursion by Bahamas Adventures! Great sand, clear water, and friendly.

Did the glass bottom boat tour through carnival. It was very disorganized. But when we finally got to go out it was a good time. We got to see fish and a large group of sharks.

Freeport was as expected , very industrial. Inside the port, there are vendors and food shops. We did the Glassbottom excursion here which was just ok.

Freeport/Taino Beach The beach is a 15/20 minute cab ride from the Port. Took a cab that was $14 pp round trip to Taino Beach. Went there specifically to jet ski. The beach was clean and wasn’t overcrowded. There is a $4 entry fee that covers WiFi, kayaks and paddle boards. The beach has maybe 2 bars and eating places and a coconut/pineapple drink stand that is reasonably priced. This is the shortest Port day (Carnival) so most people stayed at the bars on Port. I believe Senor Frogs and another. The jet skis were reasonably priced (no excursion necessary) and we were even given extra time on them for free :)
