Industrial port, nothing to see beyond the cruise passenger shopping area. You have to get out to the resort area, and it is beautiful. We did a day pass at Lighthouse Pointe Grand Lucayan. Absolutely recommend this resort! They say they only sell 25 passes a day, that’s an absolute lie. But still worth it.

Pleasantly surprised by how nice this port was. We did ‘Resort For A Day’ here at Lighthouse at Grand Lucayan resort. The resort was spotless and food was flavorful. Ocean was crystal clear and relatively warm for January. Had a great day here.

The excursion was made on Viator but their meeting point directions are too confusing. The shuttle said to meet at the white tent, in port, we counted at least 3 if not 4 different white tents. So we missed our shuttle. The taxis, ARE A JOKE! They refused to take a one way drive to Paradise Cove. Said it wasn’t worth it. My boyfriend even offered more. So instead, we rented a scooter and drove out to Paradise Cove! SUCH A BETTER IDEA. At paradise cove we saw sea turtles, stingray, and lots of fish! It was a fantastic time!!

Our snorkeling excursion was cancelled last minute which I understood but was still disappointing. We were talked in to a replacement excursion at Pirates Cove which was a complete waste of money. I feel we should not have been charged as the the weather conditions did not permit any activities at Pirates Cove and there were no transports back until the scheduled time.

Industrial port so took taxi to Paradise Cove for a few hours. Beautiful sunny day with a bit of a breeze. Tried there grilled conch and chicken wings with fries- all delicious.

We really liked Freeport but when we went it was not long after a hurricane and there was a lot of rebuilding going on.

Stayed in the port and shopped. Seemed like everything was a 20/30 minute ride away.

There was massive confusion when we got off the ship, all of these people kept trying to get us to go to their lines for their excursions, we kept getting sent here and there. We were even told to go get on a bus, after we told them many times what excursion we were booked for, then we were pulled off the bus. Finally, we saw a man with holding a sign with our names on it. Just getting to the correct excursion was crazy but once we got to the right place the tour was great. We did the private beach and cave tour. Michael was a great tour guide. He gave us such good information and stories about the island. He was very nice and funny. The cave was just ok, it's really a very small cave, which I know you can't help. We also only got to spend 30 minutes at the beach, which is not enough time for me! The beach was beautiful!! But Michael gave us the option to go to other beaches or the the local shopping market. He also took us on a tour thru local housing villages to see how the locals lived, and the devastation after the hurricane. Michael was a great tour guide!

Loved the Glass Bottom Boat tour. Seeing a shark was great!
