We did a Sea Safari Snorkel excursion here--what a blast. I've done a lot of snorkeling in a lot of places and this was the most crystal-clear water I've ever seen. The boat had a water slide--too much fun! Excellent for novices--not a lot of big or exotic fish, but literally thousands of them in 4 to 6 feet of water.

We did the glass bottom boat tour and it was good. It was not our preferred event, but we chose this because our daughter was nursing an injury. If you really like this type of event it is wonderful. Next time we will do a beach visit, or jeep tour.

We have been in Freeport before so knew where to go. Took a cab to a great beach but, unfortunately, it was raining and we had to leave. We felt sorry for the folks who paid $57 for the same beach (and a hot dog.) Tours are over-priced.

Too little time to do excursions - would have felt rushed (ship arrived at 8am on Sunday, nothing opened until 9:30 - had to be back on boat by 1:30) - Docked by UGLY shipping/container port.

We did not do a shore excursion here and we should have. This ports town in terrible with the same stuff in every shop. The public beach was small and overflowing with drug dealers.

I fell in love with freeport!! We did a kayaking excursion which I just can't say enough about. On the way back Matt took us through town to see how Bahamians live. There is a mini straw market at the port which has your typical souvenirs without the pressure of Nassau. I didn't mind that it is generally a working port, it's a nice reminder that we are visiting their home

Not as bad as some make it out to be so long as you book an excursion. Went to an All-inclusive beach getaway with a buffet and local takes on mixed drinks. Definitely worth checking out.
