We enjoyed walking around Sydney despite the somewhat iffy weather. Would have liked to do an excursion but excursions sold out early.

We didn’t book an excursion and there isn’t much to do around. We just walked for an hour or two before visiting a few shops.

Dissapointing. Not much to see in town. Streets were all torn up.

We had no problem with the port. The people were great! But our excursion experience was less than good. We went to Fortress of Louisbourg and the closer we got to our destination the worse our bus stunk! Apparently, the night before, a group rented the bus and wrecked the holding tank. The company tried to repair it and cancelling the excursion was even discussed. We didn't deserve a smelly bus!! The guide and driver were good and tried to make the best of a awful situation. FYI the cruise rep did refund 20% of the excursion cost.

Bell museum, tour of countryside, walk in downtown

We wished we had more time at the Highland living museum. We didn't get to see everything. On the bus, our guide gave us lots of history, and even a botany lesson about the Island.

Lovely little island. A G Bell museum was okay...but self guided... a tour guide talking & explaining would have been nicer.
