We went shopping quietly : good experience

Awful. Not even sure why this was a stop. Whole city is under construction. Could not walk on the sidewalks due to all of the blockages from the construction. Would never go back. We should have gone to Halifax rather than Sydney.

We were stuck here for two days, glad to be safe from the storm, but Sunday in a small town is pretty quiet anyway, but it felt like limited effort went into pulling together some kind of adventures. The initial disembarking was chaotic due to issues with the computer system. We waited for over an hour, then had to wait an additional 30 minutes because no one knew if the other people who signed up for the excursion were actually coming. Simple strategies such as using one stairway for exiting passengers and one for returning would have reduced the chaos. Did anyone from the ship reach out to the community to see if having several thousand people stuck could provide a financial boon at the very end of their tourism season?

This was our least favorite port but the weather was our biggest negative. We did the Cabot Trail bus tour. We did not realize the bus tour was 2 hours to get somewhere and then 2 or so of seeing things / lunch, and then the 2 hour drive back. Not sure if I would have done things different but would have checked on other options first.

No excursion, since our family drove up to Cape Breton Island years ago, from Florida. Back then, we drove the entire Cabot Trail in our car & loved it. Such a pretty place. This trip, we just walked about the nice town & shopped. Very friendly, helpful, shopkeepers.

Clean, very nice port. Did a bus tour which was very good. It rained all morning so hard to get good pictures. Stopped and had a great lunch- seafood chowder with tuna sandwiches. The ship stayed at port 2 days so got to shop at all the little stores.

We had to overnight here do to bad weather in Halifax. Very small town, not much to do.

Took an excursion to tour lighthouses and then a winery. Nice day.

Did an excursion to the Alexander Graham Bell museum

Second visit for us...fabulous city!
