Cold, foggy and the dock was way away from the town.

Everything was closed - what a waste of a port stop

Line for the tenders back to the ship was about 1/2 mile long. Tour was good.

Most stores/shops and restaurants are closed on Sunday.

I never knew that France owned islands off Newfoundland until this trip. We walked the town, shopped and had a drink in a bar where 2 men were singing and playing guitars. The ship had gotten special permission to dock instead of anchor so that a sailboat race could take place.

We saw the start of a major sail boat race but otherwise could have passed on this port.

Be sure to bring euros. A couple sites were euros only, including the museum and a ferry ride to the fishermen’s island. You could use the ATM, but you’d need to withdraw a minimum of €100.
